Who Should Attend?
This program has been designed to meet the education needs of physicians and nurses who have a specialized interest in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the program, the participant will be able to:
- Evaluate the reasons why delay in diagnosis of breast cancer is the leading cause of medical malpractice lawsuits, and identify what steps can be taken to lessen the physicians potential liability
- Compare and contrast the differences between wrongful birth and wrongful life lawsuits and how religious and political beliefs as well as philosophical and legal concepts influence the parents, children, attorneys and judges
- Evaluate the evidence surrounding use of compounded hormones and salivary hormone testing
- Assess the outcome/complications of randomized trials from vaginal mesh procedures
- Analyze indications and common usage of BHRT
- Evaluate neonatal problems when neonates are delivered before 39 weeks
- Identify skin disease as a cause of vulvovaginal pain
- Implement therapy for most common vulvovaginal dermatoses
- Evaluate new therapies for the herpes simplex virus
- Apply methods for safe abdominal wall entry and complications that can occur
- Implement evidence based treatment options for recurrent pregnancy loss
- Utilize appropriate instruments and techniques in performing safe abdominal entry during laparoscopy
- Optimize the revenue cycle by understanding the patient workflow
- Assess the feasibility and cost–effectiveness of the OB Hospitalist programs in various sized hospitals
- Diagnose the common patterns and outcomes of brachial plexsus injury in infants (Nath)
- Assess different patient profiles and indications for cosmetic vaginal surgery (Hayes)

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ or College Cognate Credits
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ or up to a maximum of 15 Category 1 College Cognate Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Criteria for Success
Statements of credit will be awarded based on the participant's attendance, submission of the activity evaluation form. Participants will be required to sign in daily at the registration desk.
